Offering programs in person and online under the umbrella of Integral Health - the development and flourishing in biological, psychospiritual, interpersonal and worldly aspects of the human condition. We invite individuals and communities to engage in opportunities for growththat ignite the full potential of the human spirit.

Rita Marsh - co-founder

The Center for Human Flourishing (TCfHF) was founded under the name “Davi Nikent” in 2003. The name was “gifted” by Nuche (Ute) Elder Clifford Duncan in response to the question “what are words that signify the disconnect from spirit, source.” The question was asked as the founding members of the organization believed the root cause of malaise, dis-ease in our culture is this disconnect. In 2012 or thereabouts the organization adopted the guiding principles of Integral Health described in depth by Dr. Elliott Dacher in his book “Integral Health and Human Flourishing”. Programs presented from then on were chosen for their relationship to this model offering information, exercises, modalities and inspiration for participants to grow, develop the biological, psychospiritual, interpersonal and worldly aspects in their lives and realize a balanced state that results in human flourishing.

TCfHF is located at Third Street Center in Carbondale Colorado. The majority of workshops, events, and films are presented at this location. During the past 4 years the organization has had the opportunity to present programs online through Unity.earth, SINE Network, and their multitude of partner organizations.

Currently, a volunteer organization with 5 board members TCfHF is exploring collaboration with individuals and organizations to bring focus on the essential activities of bioregional regeneration and sustainability. We believe that through the flourishing of the natural resources in our region and supporting businesses and individuals who are producing foods and goods that are essential for health we can become more self-sufficient and more caring and compassionate toward our fellow humans and all that inhabit the region we live in.

A focus of interest is presenting programs that help people heal current and ancestral trauma that may be preventing them from living from a place of trust, calm, and vibrancy.

What brought us to this valley

I arrived in the valley in February 1965 drawn by the notoriety of Aspen, Colorado as being one of the best places in North America to ski. The first sighting of the mountain that stands sentinel over the town of Carbondale was significant – welcoming and a knowing of “this is the place.”
